Embark on an exclusive adventure with Pilots Choice, where you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of two out of the three renowned glaciers. Soar over the majestic Franz Josef Glacier and then choose between the awe-inspiring Fox Glacier or Tasman Glacier as you traverse past the iconic Mount Cook. Immerse yourself in the Southern Alps, culminating in a 10-minute snow landing for a picturesque photo session. The entire experience lasts approximately 35 minutes.
As a locally owned and operated business situated in Franz Josef on the enchanting West Coast of New Zealand, Pilots Choice is the brainchild of Gus and Poppy, a dedicated husband and wife team who established the company in January 2014. More often than not, you’ll find one of them piloting the aircraft on any given day.
To ensure a seamless experience, please allocate an additional 45 minutes beyond your flight time for the check-in process, transportation to the helicopter, loading and unloading procedures, and the return journey to our office.
It’s worth noting that while this is a private flight, aspects of the check-in and van travel may be shared with passengers on other flights. Furthermore, it is essential that the total weight of the passenger load adheres to the helicopter’s weight and balance requirements for a safe and enjoyable journey.
